We truly cannot thank you all enough for Saturday night. It's almost impossible to properly express all there is to say. We really mean it when we say that ALL OF YOU have carried Dragstrip on your shoulders for so long,
and you embody something so much bigger and more special than us, or our fun little idea called Dragstrip 66.
Because a great idea means nothing without the people who support it, nurture it, and DEFINE it.
So for all of you, we say -- congratulations!!!

We gratefully acknowledge our amazing crew of friends and co-conspirators who contributed to Dragstrip’s long run.
And to the fans who suggested the themes, to the visual artists who helped decorate, to the door staff who welcomed you, to the amazing roster of talented performers who entertained us all – THANK YOU from the depths of our high heels to the tips of our wigs!

We didn’t manage to acknowledge and thank all of our brothers and sisters during the curtain call,
(some were MIA and others are dearly departed).  As for your rousing choruses of "We Are Family"?
That was the understatement of the century! You filled the room with a love that busted down the walls!!!

By the way, you almost did actually bust down the walls, and you broke the record: Our closing night attendance broke a Dragstrip record and was the highest in The EchoPlex's history (even more people than the farewell Nine Inch Nails show this year!!!). We extend major apologies to anyone who waited in the long line or couldn't get in. Everyone who waited eventually DID get in, though - so thanks for your patience.

And we absolutely didn't know we would be saying this today: We're simply not ready to say goodbye to you all yet.

We don't know exactly what that means at this moment, but you'll know as soon we know.
For now, we need to experience a big EXHALE and let Saturday night truly sink in.

Our arms are wrapped around each and every one of you right now!

Savor that feeling, because we sure are!
